The String Revolution - Redefining Guitar Music:

Grammy® winning guitar trio, The String Revolution, is an innovative and dynamic guitar band that pushes the boundaries of traditional music. Composed of three virtuoso guitarists, they are renowned for their electrifying performances, blending different genres and styles to create a unique and captivating sound. Their intricate melodies, mesmerizing harmonies, and astonishing guitar skills have earned them a dedicated following and critical acclaim worldwide.

The band includes former Randy Rhoads student Janet Robin (named in the “Top 50 Acoustic Guitarist bonus list” by Guitar Player Magazine, 2017), who is also an acclaimed touring guitarist with the likes of Lindsey Buckingham, Meredith Brooks, Air Supply and many more, award winning Austrian composer and nylon-string guitarist Markus Illko, and Cuban multi-instrumental guitarist Rober Luis.

Their debut EP Stringborn (2016) and follow-up album Red Drops (2019) established them as a rising force in instrumental music, with production by London’s Matt Hyde (Rodrigo y Gabriela, Slipknot). Their cover of “Billie Jean” reached the Top 10 of Spotify’s LA Instrumental Charts, helping their music surpass 5 million streams. Known for re-imagining iconic songs, The String Revolution has reinvented classics like “Rocketman” and “Englishman in New York” while delivering original compositions that blend classical, rock, jazz, and world influences.

In 2022, the trio teamed up with Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens for a unique acoustic version of the Ozzy Osbourne & Randy Rhoads classic “Crazy Train,” accompanied by an acclaimed animated video. The following year, they partnered with Grammy®-nominated guitarist Tommy Emmanuel on a bold new instrumental take on Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues,” produced by John Carter Cash. That collaboration earned them the 2024 GRAMMY Award® for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella.

Now, The String Revolution continues their groundbreaking journey with a reimagining of the West Side Story classic “America.” The track features 5x Grammy® Nominee Lakecia Benjamin on saxophone, Grammy® Nominee Luis Conte on percussion, and Byron House on upright bass—all anchored by The String Revolution’s signature guitar artistry. Produced by John Carter Cash and Steve Schnur, engineered by Trey Call and Rafa Sardina, and mastered by Emerson Mancini, the arrangement brings new energy and depth to a timeless American classic.

With memorable songs, exceptional musicianship, and fearless creativity, The String Revolution has established themselves as one of the most exciting and innovative guitar ensembles in the world today.
