Greetings folks :)

I hope you are enjoying the final weeks of Summer and preparing for an exciting Fall.

I'm reaching out to everyone about the CD release of "Everything has Changed,"
finally here in the USA. Produced by Mr. John Carter Cash at Cash Cabin, Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Over the last year, it was released all over the EU. Lot's of touring ensued.. great reviews.. and great promotion, helping to reach a touring and visibility level I had always wanted to in Europe. I love it over there... and I am excited to be returning to tour there very soon.

I'm grateful to tour in Europe and all the fans over there have been amazing supporters.

I'm also grateful to tour here in the USA and I have many amazing supporters here as well.
I couldn't have made this record without some of your help.

However, I am finding out that touring is not the only way to spread the word about the cd and music,
-of course there is also radio, press, and video that can help in a BIG way.

So, I am getting ready for the "BIG PUSH" here in the USA. "BIG" meaning, as big as I can make things work for an indie artist at my level. "PUSH" meaning finally getting some visibility on certain radio stations and markets, press and publicity in national magazines and newsworthy outlets, a video to showcase one of the songs from the cd.

This is not to say that any promotion here in the USA wouldn't continue to help Europe, because it will.
It all works together, but you have to have both pieces to really make things move forward.

I have never done a professional "big push" before. And this is what sparked it:

I had a fantastic meeting with the amazing music veteran manager, Bill Leopold
(Melissa Etheridge's manager). We met when I was Meredith Brooks' guitar player several years back and he was also managing her at the time -we went on the road opening for Melissa Etheridge. We have stayed in touch over the years and he's been watching some of my career steps.
We met a few weeks ago and he gave me some great advice:

"Janet, what are you waiting for…." he said, profusely.

Words that resonate... because I'm not one who waits around. So, I was thinking..
what am I waiting for?

Along with our digital distribution release (itunes, Amazon, etc..) He suggested a radio campaign to NPR, Non-Com radio stations, and Americana/AAA stations nationwide, a press campaign that showcases the record and the songwriting, but also focus's on my background as a guitarist and the credits I have from my past work, and working in the story of meeting John Carter Cash, and recording the record together at Cash Cabin -
a great story to tell 'en masse and share amongst music fans.

Also suggested was a low-fi, but cool music video featuring a focus track, meaning one song to showcase... and that song will be "Dream Baby."

My version of "Dream Baby" has been garnering attention in Europe and the UK, and excellent reviews... it seems like the wise choice to introduce people to my sound, even though it's a remake. Remakes are good to start out of the box, and then people can go and investigate the cd further.

So when we have all the pieces in place, the promotion campaign will align with the release of the cd.

M:M Music works records from people like Adele, Chris Issak, Melissa Etheridge, Bonnie Raitt, Sia, Coldplay, and tons of more amazing artists and takes them to the highest level they can reach.

For PR Publicity: We are looking at a few individuals that are experts in this field and will make a decision soon.

Music Video:
We have been talking to a few directors and video companies, and will soon make a decision for this as well.

And the grand total budget will be $10,000 for radio, press, and video costs.
Not really much in the business world of music, (we're not talking Lady Ga Ga promotion),
but enough to get things rolling and finally get some attention out there.

Many artists are using kickstarter.com and pledgemusic.com, etc.. all worthy sites to raise funding for your project, however, I am choosing the personal approach as I did the last time for funding of the recording. I like the open communication with fans and angel sponsor's and many of you have been supporters of my music for a very long time.

We can break it down here: Maybe I will be lucky and find 10 people who will donate $1,000 each. I can do a house concert and more in return.
Or, 20 people that donate $500 each, etc..Any of those would be fantastic.

There are many ways it can go but for convenience sake, I have listed donation levels with specific gifts in return.

In lieu of having to press more cd's (costly) and including them as gifts in return for your donations, instead I will be offering the cd in download form (mp3's) and some other

I will write a personal song for you, your spouse, a relative, or on a subject that is important to you.

You will provide me with certain information about the person or subject so that I can visualize the song and write it for you. I will then tell you a short description of the style of the song and send you the lyrics for your approval (subject to a fair time limit).

I will record & produce the song acoustically (no drums) here at home, in my studio.
