Greetings!
I'm excited to announce that the release of my "Live from France" will be the 1st week of May. Super happy about finally getting this out. It's from my tour I did in France last year and specifically from the last show of that tour. Great band, great energy, great fun.. I think ya'll will enjoy it :)
I've been pretty busy producing a new artist, Karen Reed, here at my home studio, Robin's Nest, and also excited about the release of her folky-blues record we did here in LA. It's my first full production/engineering credit on a record and I couldn't have had more fun doing it all. Look for more info about it soon.
I've got a few shows coming up in the next few months so stay tuned... and then in August, I will be back in beautiful Europe for a 4 week summer tour- UK, Czech Rep, and Germany. Always so happy to return to the old country and rock out the Europeans!

It's a new year...
Welcome to 2013.. it's already going fast.. :)
I've got some tour dates already booked and we are looking at another possible European tour this year, so stand by on that.
In the meantime, my other focus is on releasing my first "live" cd. It was recorded in France, with my great French band, that I had never met or played with before, but sparks were flying at the shows on the road, and we decided to record the last one of the tour. I'm planning on releasing it in March, and if you're interested, I am currently taking pre-orders to help with the duplication and production costs. This is currently being mixed by my guitar player, Charlie Fabert, who was on the tour with all of us. I'm super excited about it! If you're interested in pre-ordering, please visit the music page.

Europe in November
As I sit in the airport in Heathrow, I always remind myself how grateful I am for the job I chose, or the job that chose me.. :) Traveling the world and sharing music with others is
a gift and something that always enhances not only my creativity but my life.
I'm looking forward to 3 1/2 weeks of shows in Czech Republic, Germany, and the UK. Some new venues and some previously visited venues. Always a pleasure. Still working on new songs and mixing the live CD from my tour in France last March. While starting to produce other artists, I'm realizing what a crazy job that is! Crazy, but good. It's very interesting to be on the other side of the glass for a change. I'm excited about these artists I'm working with, and I think you will be too. Their releases are set for mid 2013.
Meanwhile, creation and touring continues on all levels.. please visit the tour date page for the latest..

It's Fall...
And the rock n' roll continues... :)
I'm looking forward to an exciting fall with tours up north in Washington and another great European tour coming up. I'm also pleased to announce Russ & Julie's House Concert I am sharing with Ali Handel here in California is completely sold out...So, if you're going, it will be a FULL house and we will make sure to blow the roof off of it! So get ready.
In Sept. I've got some amazing house concerts coming up in the Seattle and Olympia areas, as well as a show opening for Willy Porter- one of my favorite guitar players out there- and it's at a great venue- The Tractor Tavern. If you're in the Seattle area in September, I hope you can make it out.
November will bring me back to Czech Republic, Germany, and the UK. All the dates are posted in my tour date section. A big highlight of that tour is opening for the genius guitar player- Tommy Emmanuel. He will totally blow your mind. Along with Monte Montgomery, Lindsey Buckingham, Willy Porter- he is in the category of the GREAT among greats. And we are playing a beautiful theater in Prague. I am looking forward to this. I'll also be returning to some of my fav venues in Czech, Germany and the UK- so be sure to check out the tour page for all the info.
Speaking of guitar playing... I'm happy and honored to announce I'll be featured in an upcoming issue of Acoustic Guitar Player (USA). I have never had an interview or feature in ANY USA guitar magazine that is also in print, so this is a first for me and I'm looking forward to sharing it with you. I'm not sure of the issue date but I think it might be in October. Stay tuned.
My live cd from my France tour in April is almost finished and I'll be very excited to release that the beginning of January, so stay tuned.
Along with writing some new songs, working on a score for a great documentary, and touring- my life is filled with music and I am always grateful to be able to share my job all over the world with music lovers alike.

I've returned from a great 5 week tour in Poland, CZ, and France... Wonderful cities and awesome venues. Thank you to everyone who came out to the shows and supported. You're my "overseas" family :)
Next up: The USA release of "Everything has Changed" is May 1st. iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody and almost any other digital outlet will be releasing it THAT day, so you can go ahead and download what you like! Additionally, I will be hitting the road on the east coast and Texas in May, and west coast in June. Coinciding with a full radio promotion campaign, gratefully sponsored by my "Angel" supporters.
Feel free to call or email your local radio station- especially NPR and college as they will most likely have the cd and we wanna get as many spins as possible..
